Follow the adventures of young Davey, who goes away to sea on his father's three mast, fully rigged sailing ship in the late 1700's.

Each book is approximately 100 pages long, with no chapters so the young reader chooses when he or she wants to stop reading or indeed continue with the story. Along the way are drawings done by young Davey and are collected at the end of each book to colour in at the readers leisure.

Each book is a continuation of the last and the story is littered with historical facts that teaches the reader about life in the 1700's.
