David Thomas: Author

"La Hacienda and Other Stories" is all about my career in the British Merchant Navy. Joining straight from school after my 17th Birthday I travelled the world, seeing the sights, making new friends and scrubbed floors, made beds, served obnoxious apprentices and above their station Captain's. It's all here in this book.

"Been There Done That" carries my story on after I left the Merchant Navy. Following my fortunes through unemployment, new jobs, going to live concerts with friends, finding love and dealing with life threatening illnesses.

"Places I Remember" is all about my childhood and growing up in the suburbs of Liverpool. Places I played in, houses I lived in, growing up with four sisters, schools I went to and the all important decision to go away to sea.
